Sorry for vague thread but at a loss here. I recently noticed my PC is running a bit slow. I know that's vague but here's symptoms: I've 2 monitors and watch Flash TV and NFL Gamepass on one monitor and browse Chrome/compile software on the other. When Flash is playing I notice a slight lag switching tabs on Chrome and even framerate issues with the Flash video. I don't think I ever got this before.
My CPU is i7-2600k with stock cooler. When playing Flash video it runs about 20% usage and temps of about 60c according to Speedfan. Is this too high? Recenlty I cleaned the heatsink as there was a load of dust. But I wouldn't think 60c would be high enough to cause throttling.
It can't be a RAM issue as I've 16GB and I get laggy tabs with 20% RAM usage and 80% usage. I doubt it's a harddrive issue as the Chrome cache is on an SSD tabs should be loaded in RAM anyway, right? So only other thing apart from CPU temp is my graphics card which is very old: ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro
It runs at a temp of about 65c. But it was my understanding a graphics card doesn't have much to do with regular Windows use, only games which I don't play.
Any advice welcome, I'm willing to spend up to €1000 to fix this, I spend my life on this PC. Find below a screenshot of my HWMonitor now as I watch MNF and type this
