I recently got The Witcher Trilogy off Steam. So I started playing the first witcher and I love it but it keeps crashing and the latest crash turned my screen black and my reset button would not work i had to power it off. It started up fine but I'm scared it might kill something expensive. Any Ideas on what might cause this?

I've looked around and the enhanced edition seems to have crashing issues. And I've tried suggestions on other post from other forums but nothing. I trust it here and its not the most appropriate topic but this is my last resort. Id really like to play the game on the best settings possible but really i just want to get trough the game. The crashes seem to happen randomly. First during cut scenes witch i thought i solved by lowering lighting quality. Then just about any time and the last one happened when i was loading from a 'meditating' session witch skips time and a bunch of NCPs loaded right next to me then black screen and a terrible noise through my head set.

Also 5 days ago i was having trouble with BSOD witch i think i solved by getting a missing sm bus controller driver and updating/re-installing Killer Network. I haven't had it restart since i updated those things.
