howto use ddr3 ram in addr2 supported mother board

i have adell optiplex 320 which works on intel core 2 duo iwant to up grade it's ram(1*2 2rx8 pc2) to 4 gb ddr3 is it possible

You can't use ddr3 ram in a ddr2 compatible motherboard.If you only want to upgrade ram and are fine with the system get ddr2 ram instead.

Vic40 is correct. DDR3 RAM is built differently specifically so that it cannot be used in a DDR2 or DDR slot. Forcing it will ruin the RAM stick and probably the motherboard.
Just add some more DDR2.
