If the reading of that voltage is accurate, the cpu could be fried soon. Has the system experienced any instabilities? Please quickly check the BIOS, reset it to default, and use other application to check the voltage. Most new motherboards will have some bugs like this to show incorrect readings. CPUID HWMonitor itself may also return wrong readings if it doesn't recognize the newer chip related to system readings and monitoring on the new motherboard with the new chipset.

In any case, before confirming the true and accurate reading of the voltage, do not run any burning/testing software to stress the cpu.

That is not your vcore as we know vcore to be. That is cpu input voltage or vcciin or there's a couple other names for it and the 1.7V is perfectly fine. In HW monitor your vcore as you know it is labeled as VID under your processor voltage section with a max of 1.29V which is still high.

Mobos auto voltage setting usually set it too high to begin with so best to go in bios and lower it down some. You'll have to run stability tests to make sure it's stable but it's better for your chip.

Yes, 1.29v is totally safe for Intel CPUs. Anything up to 1.3 is VERY safe and if you plan on more OC anything upto 1.35 is okay too. Anything higher than that you're on your own. Will probanly work but i cant tell for how long.

But with 1.29 youre fine. :)

try hardware info 64 bit turn on sensor and logging see if the voltages are stable. with that program there a min and max on the second line. and the first line is the voltage reading at the time of the screen shot. as you can see the first line is the real voltage that the program is reading the other two lines are min/max values.

thanks
when I'm in bios
and the bios reports vcore voltage 1.248v (idont khnow why hwmonitor report higher than bios )
ok
when I'm inthe bios and it.sreporting 1.248v
does it reporting at idle or at full speed like when I'm gaming ????
