Greetings. I've recently been caught in a dilemma of picking a new laptop for university. My budget is currently around 1000$ and I'm currently picking between these two laptops. I'll be attending university soon, and I would like to get a gaming laptop that both suits my needs as a gamer, but also as a university student. Naturally, things like battery life, portability, and bulkiness are very important to me. While the MSI laptop is weaker in power compared to the ASUS, I have read many amazon reviews that report several major problems with the ASUS laptop. These problems are not minor either, and range from hard drives dying after a week's use to constant BSODs. The point is I don't want to waste my time and money on the possibly faulty ASUS laptop. The MSI laptop also provides some attractive features and extra goodies to give extra value to my purchase. Currently, I'm leaning towards MSI due to its stability. Which laptop should I purchase? EDIT: My major at university is currently Electrical Engineering, but I will probably be switching to Computer Science/Engineering.
EDIT2: I'm not that picky with the graphics of my games. As long as I get a solid 60 FPS in the games I play, I don't mind lowering some of the settings.
