Soundcard to go with my Bose QuietComfort 15 headphones

Hey so I recently just built a computer and plugged in my headphones and got some nice background noise from the onboard audio of my Gigabyte H97-D3H. So now I am in the market for a sound card that will go well with my headphones and will also support the inline microphone. I plan on only using it with my headphones which I believe support virtual surround sound (I'm hoping someone is knowledgeable about my headphones and what would be good for them).

Alot of people will tell you soundcards are a bad idea, that's bullshit. Asus have the best range of soundcards these days. generally just pick the one that fits your budget and you probably have a winner.

I personally use the Xonar STX, it's a soundcard that's designed more for headphone users, it has the plugs you are looking for. (keep in mind this soundcard does not support surround speaker setups, in-case you have one)

I personally don't care at all for virtual surround in headphones, it's a joke. If you ask me, All you need is a Left and Right channel.

On the other hand, if you want a more portable option a DAC is a good choice.

Well so I don't know much at all about headphones and soundcards and what not. I just built my computer for gaming and figured the onboard audio would be fine (which it is for my monitor speakers which are real dinky, but when i plug in my fancy headphones, I pick up a lot of interference).

So I don't know how much quality sound cards sell for, but I guess I am hopeful that they don't cost more than $100 for a good one (I'm hoping to spend no more than $50 on a good one for gaming since I don't plan on like developing music or doing anything really fancy with it unless I find out that my expectations are way too high).

So I guess I am just looking for one that will remove all interference and that will create nice sounds, but will also run less than $100.
