I need to grab a AIO for my new PC build. Not sure which to go with my case supports upto 280. I have my eye on EK Predator 240 since 360 would not fit (off by a few inches due to pump/res). Since predator pulling air in compared to most AIO where it's pushing air out. Is one better then other? Everyone I talked to said you always to be pushing out. If your pulling wouldn't the hot air be tossed across your motherboard/Ram/GPU, etc... Which seems bad to me

One small note I have a Caselab Mercury S8S. top theirs room for four fans. One side will be the AIO and other side I can put two fans. If the Predator 240 is pulling air in would I want the other side pushing air out?

Mine is 120.2/140.2 x2 drop-in

Pulling air in makes for the best cooling for the radiator, providing the coolest air. It does dump the heat into the case. An adjacent pair of exhaust fans would help, but may have other consequences with turbulence, and the newly exhausted hot air may be sucked back into the radiator.

Were I going to do this, I would mount the radiator on the side of the case and the two exhaust fans on the top, beside the radiator, to minimize things.

How about the Swiftech H-220X or 240X? Very good block and pump and good radiator, with configurable parts. Cheaper then EK Predator too.
