Is this build good for next gen gaming?

Solution

Your not going to have the games loaded on the SSD it's mainly for the operating system and programs well you could fit a couple on it. As I stated above if you can put the extra money out of pocket then buy one I have all my games loaded on a SSD but it's because I can afford to and their no increase in performance other than cut screen / load times the actual in game performance does not change.
My opinion on a SSD is, it's 100% a luxury item and unless you have a high budget you can spend that money on the gaming...

That's a decent build but your already spending more and don't know it those prices are depending on rebates and don't show the shipping cost.
The case also has nowhere near the needed cooling for a R9 390 video card it only comes with a single fan. (if the card will even fit)
I would leave off the SSD and put that money in a bit better performance instead of just a faster boot time, also I don't recommend windows 10 at this time.

Can't find any specs for the case that show the max GPU length so no way to verify if that GPU will fit or not.

It is a cheap case so I would not expect decent cooling or quality. I would at least move up to a bit better case. Might cost a bit more but in the long run a better quality case will make everything better.

Same price as you had listed without paying 120 bucks more waiting on rebates and paying the hidden shipping cost.
No SSD but a much better case, if you can spend the extra out of pocket money then by all means add a SSD but get a good one. You would also need to spend 3 bucks on a SATA cable adding this.

Most of the parts.

A good buy on the other 2 parts 326 bucks with the combo discount.

You would probably get all the parts in about 4 days after ordering as for ordering it from a lot of different places they would take about 2 weeks to get all the parts.

Over budget and still depending on rebates, and shipping cost would put that build well over 1K out of pocket.

So an ssd isn't necessary? Everyone keeps telling me all gaming pcs should have one.
Also Would you say the build you listed will play games such as The witcher 3 and planet side 2 on max graphics with 50+ fps?

First get over the max graphics, that's just for bragging rights and has nothing to do with gaming enjoyment.
For the 2 games you listed (I play both) PS2 has a very poor game engine the video card matters less than the processor speed. Witcher 3 when you cut hairworks on brings all video cards to their knees.
Do some Google searches and look at max settings and high settings to the eye their little to no difference.
The PC I listed will play every game out very well the performance will depend on your settings and monitor resolution their all different.
What I did was list a PC in the price range you stated without having it depend on rebates and paying extra shipping cost which would all increase your total out of pocket expense to buy the parts.
The i5 4590 and GTX 970 video card is a very good setup on the budget you stated.
