how do i set up a computer i just built but it only has a graphics card for a monitor and no on board card

I just built a computer the motherboard has no optics output and I can only see through a graphics card how do I set it up
its a sapphire graphics card amd fx processor black edition motherboard is a msi 970 gaming and the monitor is a tv and the cable is a Microsoft hdmi

You plug the HDMI into the GPU.

Run the HDMI cable from the graphics card to the TV

I tried running the hdmi from the graphics card to the tv only thing i can use the motherboard has no onboard graphics card

While using the graphics card output for one monitor, you could use USB video adapters for additional monitors...
