Is my cpu damaged?

I know I shouldn't have done this but yesterday I received a doa motherboard. It occasionally posted, but not always. I tried removing and replacing variables like the ram and the cpu heatsink. I know I shouldn't have booted it without the cpu heatsink, and I realize how stupid it was. Once, I tried to boot without the cpu heatsink, it still didn't post. I touched the CPU after the failed boot and it was fairly hot. The longest it spent booting without a heatsink was probably 15 seconds at most. I put the cpu into another motherboard and it worked fine, prime95 stable. Did I do any long term damage, or decrease the lifespan. I have an amd fx 6300, I was testing with a doa asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 motherboard. I'm pretty nervous...

Solution
The cpu has thermal protection.

It is NOT good for it, but it should not cause future issues.

Never do that again(Older cpus used to die from that).
