How to fix a *seemingly* dead GPU?

Hi guys,
an LED strip of mine fell down from the top of my case, and hit the GPU (Sapphire R9 270 Dual X) near the crossfire slot is, but not on it exactly (just that general area) I saw a single spark, heard a funny noise and the PC is off. I've tried resetting CMOS, using a different connector, nothing. I really need this fixed. If I leave it over time should it fix itself? do i need to do something peculiar to fix it? whatever, I'd just prefer to have it not cost me money to fix... If you guys have any advice it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Connor

Solution
Remove the video card, unplug the computer from wall power, hold in the power button for 10 seconds, plug in the computer and see if it works with onboard video only. If it works OK, install the card and test it with the card in. If it does not work with the video card in, test the card in another system, if it also does not work, need to get the card replaced.
