Hello,

My ram speeds are way lower than advertised, my system should be able to hold 2400mhz or more. My previous 12gig ram was 1333, and showed 1333, and my new 32gig shows just 1066, help?

PC specs:
Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z

32GB DDR3 2400mhz Corsair Vengeance
2x nvidia gtx 560.

Bonus: Does anybody know why there's 80mb hardware reserved?

Hio wybrem,

You'll need to enable XMP in your bios. The best way to do it is to find your motherboard make and model using a tool like CPUID's CPU-Z (found here http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html) and look up a guide or better yet, a YouTube video showing how to do it.

The alternative is to just go in the BIOS menu and have a look around your Memory settings, there should be something in there to enable XMP (Extreme Memory Profile).
Yes, go into BIOS after turning on the PC or restart from windows (keep pressing delete untill you see BIOS menu).
From there go into advanced mode BIOS and set the memory speed in the extreme tweaker tab. It might be a bit different if you have a newer BIOS or so, if you can't find it look it up in your motherboard manual.
