Hi i have put together a pc with some new and old components but I can get windows to install!
Got some parts from my brother and had to buy some new.

I built the pc and booted it no probs first time with no errors, no bleeps. All seemed good to go. Went to install Windows 7 from CD disk and it took me into the setup, started the install and then when it get to the "windows is starting" screen it just freeze's . I tried leaving it for a while but no change! I put the Windows onto a bootable usb and ran it, still doing the same thing as the disk is doing. I even tried my old Windows Vista Disk and tried Windows 8 pro (same crash at the same time on all installations)

Note: I also put memtest onto a boot cd but it will not run (tested the memtest disk on other pc. runs fine)

(btw I am pretty newb so don't hesitate to ask if you think i'v made mistakes) :)

(things i'v tried)

- changing the SATA mode to UEFI Using the WD Hardrive as sourse for install, instead of the new ssd
-taking out the 660ti graphics card, disabling it in setup and enabled the onboard graphics
-taking one ram stick out
-putting one ram stick in, in a different slot
-clearing the cmos and then tried all of the above again

(old)
i5 3470 3.2ghz
750watt Corsair psu
WD 500gb HDD
Msi gtx660ti

(new)
2x 4gb Kingston HyperX Genisis DDR3 1600
Samsung 850 EVO 250gb ssd
AsRock Z75 Pro 3

[any help will be greatly appreciated]
