hi, my computer system showing error in starting up.
a message showing everytime i start computer, says,
SMART STATUS BAD,
PRESS F1 TO START SETUP:

if it is about hard disk failure, i verified by re installing windows, its all fine. still this message is displaying even after formatting whole hard disk.
what may be the problem,, i realise that my 500gb hard disk is left with only 465gb in new installation.

You should get the drive out of your system and turn to a professional data recovery company if you wish to retrieve your files. Unfortunately, a re-formatting of the drive won't safe it from failing. The best way to determine what's the health and S.M.A.R.T. status of the drive would be to test it using a diagnostic utility. However, since you cannot boot into the OS, you should probably consider using a DOS version of such a testing tool.
