hi i have a amd fx 6300 on stock cooler and a msi 760gma-p34fx. under 100 load it currently runs at 54c so that gives me about a 7-10c overclocking headroom i just wanted to know if i could overclock this cpu to maximize the performance. i think i might have a good cpu because it runs fairly cool and i was wondering if i could overclock the cpu to 3.6ghz or 3.7ghz if that wont break any thing or if i could use the oc geniue that comes with with my mobo

Admirable
You can do manual OC to 4 GHz with stock cooler but find some OC guide that will help you to learn about OC.
I think i had mine on 4.1 Ghz and 1.256 Volts. But every chip is different.
You will only see slight improvement with this small OC.
GTA V is rly CPU heavy game.
You can get some extra fps in GTA V with FX 6300 by lowering population density to minimum, that will remove some stress from CPU.
And here is one guide , hope it helps.
