So I just bought my sister a new laptop, it's a Lenovo Z50 with a single stick of 8GB DDR3 RAM. In task manager it says 4.6GB is reserved for hardware. I have no idea why. I tried ticking/unticking maximum memory in system config. I looked in AMD Catalyst to see if it might be given to the APU, but it says there is only 500mb reserved. I'm really dumbfounded. It can't be a bad stick of RAM because the computer boots, and there is only one stick of RAM. Should I just go back to the store and exchange it? I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks!!
