need help choosing my psu wattage

Solution

You can go bigger to give yourself some room to grow (such as if you want to crossfire someday, or add a whole boatload of hard drives). But for how it is now 550 is more than sufficient and there is some headroom for overclocking.

People tend to overdo it on PSU wattage, the reality is youre better off getting a more efficient PSU that fits what you need instead.

I would not get that PSU if you can find the EVGA 550 G2 or 550 GS, the XFX TS 550, or the Seasonic 550w, they are far higher quality. A lot of people here have had issues with Corsair CX and RM PSU's.

EDIT just checked and the EVGA G2 and XFX TS 550 are available for almost the same price on partpicker CAD and both are far better.
