Hey guys, I'm building a pc with a 4790k and 16GB of DDR3 RAM. I'm looking for a Z97 motherboard (DDR3, LGA 1150) with a black and red color theme for my system theme. I'm not willing to spend more then $150-170ish USD. Also, I won't be overclocking often.
Size - ATX

My entire PC budget is $2000 but i'm trying to keep it as low as I possibly can. That's why I don't want to spend a lot. The total is $1875. I still have some money left. Should I spend the extra $50 or so on the ASUS Maximus VII Hero?

That's a pretty feature rich MOBO: ASUS Maximus Which has been replaced by a NEWER VERSION.

Check out the features listed in the specs and decide if you really need all of them. My guess is that you don't, and a cheaper board would do just fine.
