Hi everyone,
I appreciate the time taken to read and hopefully respond to this. I have a self-built computer, that has been so great, I had help in picking out its components, I'm not super tech savvy but can do most of the basic stuff. I have 3 seemingly separate issues I have not been able to solve on my own so far.
For the past few weeks my computer continuously has the "needs to be shut down for update" icon on the shutdown start menu button. Whenever I shut it down, it claims its completing 1 of 1 updates, but upon start up, it is still there. Now when I check Windows Update, there are quite a few updates listed that have failed. I have tried all the Windows recommended attempts to fix this, like the Mr Fix it tool, and a couple others but to no avail.
I can provide more info as requested (assuming I know how).
Secondly, when I run an Avast anti-virus scan, it comes back clean but has a large list of files it says either "Error: Archive is password protected (42056)" or "Error: The file cannot be accessed by the system (1920).
The 42056 errors all seem to correspond with install_flashplayer files located in one of my Downloads folders, where the 1920 errors all correspond with a $Windows~.BT location
Now the third issue, has so far been resolved, although I dont know how. I was playing a Steam-based game called Evolve, and it had been working fine for 2 weeks or so, and then all of a sudden on 3 different occasions recently mid-play the game would crash, I would get a Windows error saying I did not have enough virtual memory and this application would close. I'm not exactly sure why this would start happening, it and Firefox were at most the only apps running on each of these occurrences. I tried to move more stuff from my SSD to my HDD because my SSD only has ~5GB space left. When trying to figure out this issue my task manager's performance tab was looking over-taxed considering nothing was open and am completely at a loss as to how to try and address these issues
