Problems

Ok so my pc is kept clean and taken care of well. I got a windows update and when it completed my monitor would get no display and i still cant get the gpu display to work yet the fans are spinning. Im using vga to dvi adapter. I have tried hdmi with my tv and i still dont get a display. On board graphics work which im currently using. Now 5 minutes ago my keyboard and mouse stopped working too, they all light up but with no response its so weird and i dont know whats going on. Has something failed and causing all this. Any help would be appreciated

That's what makes me suspect it's a software issue, not necessarily hardware. It sounds like everything went wrong immediately after that Windows update.

If you don't have any files that it would kill you to lose...
If you haven't already, boot into safe mode and see if you can roll back to a system restore point from before the update. None of that sounds normal at all, but if you can identify a specific change after which the problems started, always start by undoing that.

I havent tried that yet and i would like to but i cant get my keyboard and mouse to work with the pc anymore for some strange reason wont respond at all yet it works perfectly in bios so i cant access anything when i boot to windows

Hmm. Do you have a Windows disc anywhere? If you can get into the BIOS, you can set the DVD drive to top boot priority, and see if you can use that to boot and repair the problem.

If you are able to get into Windows at all with the keyboard and mouse working, needless to say this would be an excellent time to back up anything you consider important.

if the power supply went south it may not be able to output the right wattage. try bare boning the pc by removing the gpu and see if it posts fine with onboard. if not power off the pc and unplug it from the wall and use the clear cmos jumpoers to clear the bios and see if the pc will post fine. if it wont try a test power supply and one ram stick. if there no post the last step is pull the mb out and tryh booting in ontop of a box wiht just one ram stick and the power supply. if the pc keyboard and mouse wont work and you cant get into the bios then the mb may have failed.

Could this be driver related??? Because my graphics card is spinning but wont display and onboard graphics work. And my keyboard and mouse all work fine in bios but when it gets to windows they do nothing. Im stuck and lost for words here because ive tried everything and i can't even get into windows because i need my keyboard and mouse to work so i can atleast do something and mabey even fully swipe the hdd and reinstall windows, but i dont have a windows disc

I think this pc is gonna be a hard nut to crack

If you don't have any files that it would kill you to lose, I'd say reinstalling Windows is a good move. Or a repair install if you want to go the less drastic route. It shouldn't be too difficult to borrow a disc or download a copy to bootable media from somewhere - what matters is having the Windows license key that goes with your machine. So hopefully you can get that from your machine before doing anything.

Completely fogot about this, got to the route of the problems eventually. Problem one was the os had went corrupt, reistalling fixed all the keyboard and mouse issues and other drivers. But sadly my graphics card died and i got it replaced with a gtx 960. But thanks for the helps guys!!
