I've heard AMD processor have heating issues. So, I thought Intel was better. But they have too many variants.. Which one do I buy? And please suggest a good graphics card and mobo to go with the cpu.

Do you want overclock? How much is your budget? Whare resolution are you looking for? If you don't overclock, then the above build recommendation could be cheaper, as you could buy a non K based cpu (non overclockable) and H97 based motherboard (non overclockable, Z97 is for overclocking). Also probably you wouldn't need a separate cpu cooler, as the stock cooler would be enough then. And the video card could be cheaper by buying GTX 970, instead of GTX 980. The difference is not that great in performance, but in price. And if you main usage is gaming, then 8gb system ram is more than enough for today games. Plus other differences. Do you have mouse, keyboard and a monitor? Here the alternative list

Overclocking the cpu will not change the performance in games that big, unless you overclock strongly and the game is cpu based. Future games will be demanding too much maybe. The graphics card will be the limiting factor most probably and then, overclocking it will not change the world for new games. Then it is better to sli them with same card or just upgrade to new one. Otherwise, you could still overclock, if you need it.
