Can I put "AMD Memory" in an Intel Board??

I have looked into the forums and found that it was stated that I should be able to put PC2-5300 in my Asus board listed below. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
My big question is the last one about PC2-6400.

I have Asus P5LP-LE (Leonite) by HP. It is rated with the following:

Chipset
* Northbridge: Intel 945G
* Southbridge: ICH7DH

FSB
* 533 MHz, 800 MHz, 1066 MHz (processor dependent)

Processor Support
* Socket type: 775
- Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
* Core 2 Duo E6x00 **** I upgraded from the stock to an E6700
* Core 2 Duo E4x00
* Pentium D 9x0 Dual Core
* Pentium D 8xx Dual Core
* Pentium 4 6x1 series
* Celeron D 3xx series

Memory Support
* Dual channel memory architecture
* Four 240-pin DDR2 DIMM sockets
* Supports PC2 3200 (400 MHz), PC 4200 (533 MHz) and PC2 5300 (667 MHz) DDR2 DIMMs
* non-ECC memory only, unbuffered
* Maximum HP/Compaq approved memory is 4 GB

Now, according to this listing, I should be able to install PC2-5300 DDR2 DIMM's. Looking for DIMM's on eBay, and it seems like there is nothing BUT AMD DIMM's.

And what about this:
"The memory is only compatible with the AMD CPU Processor Motherboard as it is High Density RAM"
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-8GB-2x4GB-PC2-5300-DDR2-667Mhz-240pin-Desktop-Memory-AMD-CPU-Chipset-Memory-/151450780490?hash=item23432b834a

Is there really a difference between "AMD" vs "INTEL" DIMM's? Can I use a DIMM that is for an AMD on this board? I don't want to put a whole lot of money into this system since I'm going to be doing a complete upgrade later on. But I do need to upgrade ram especially since i've installed Win10x64 and from clean boot, the system is utilizing 1.3-1.5Gig of my 3Gig of ram. (DIMM slot #4 is dead, so can only use 3 slots. Want to upgrade to 2x 4Gig modules)

Also, is it possible to upgrade to PC2-6400? I know the stats dont include that speed, but I know that some memory can be installed of a higher speed, and it will run fine at the slightly lower speed. But, I dont know if there is some kind of internal regulator that keeps the faster memory from working.

Thanks for any help,
Korishan

Solution
There is no such thing as "AMD only RAM". The issue is that that is high density RAM. Older chipsets did not support high density DDR2 but later ones did. That board is only officially registered for 4GB and if it does support 8GB you would need to look into 4 2GB DIMMs.

That RAM you listed would probably work in a newer Intel chipset. Personally it is too cheap to me as most other known name brands with 2 4GB DIMMs are almost $200 bucks.

Also that chipset only supports up to 4GB anyways so 8GB will most likely not work at all.

When you go to the ebay site, you will see they said : 2. NOT SUPPORT iMac,DELL,Hp,Compaq,IBM,Packardbell,eMachines Computer

Memory Support
* Dual channel memory architecture
* Four 240-pin DDR2 DIMM sockets

Also your MB can support max 4GB only with 4 DIMM sockets, that means you have to buy the single 1GB RAM for each DIMM sockets.

Don't buy them.

Ok, thanks for your help. You know, I didn't even notice the "* Maximum HP/Compaq approved memory is 4 GB" part, even though I pasted it. *smacks forehead with heavy brick*
Since the board has 4 Dimm slots, and slot 4 is defunct, would it be possible then the get 2x2Gig modules?? Right now I'm running with 3x1Gig modules, so if 2x2Gig would work, I'm still gaining.
If I put a module in slot 4, the system won't even boot up to POST.

Too bad two answers can't be selected. I wanted to select cin19 as well. Thanks for the help guys.
