How to recover data from slow hard drive

Suddenly my Hitachi 250GB hard drive has stopped working. in last With it connected, my PC fails to boot Windows and showing too much slow processing. till now showing in BIOS. i can't run this harddrive with another PC.
I imagine the hard disk hardware will be damaged. Is there any way to diagnose the exact problem and recover my data?

please help me.....

Unfortunately if you don't have another computer to try the drive with or another HDD with which to boot to Windows, there's not much you can do. You could try connecting it to a different SATA port with different cables, to see if that turns out to be the issue. Another option is to try accessing it via Ubuntu Live DVD/USB, to see if the HDD is properly recognized and if you can get to your files. Another option would be a data recovery company.
