Hello, i have been using ubuntu 12.04 for a project in html. I Updated them and then they stopped working so i deleted them from my c: drive but i cannot retrieve my project files. Is there any way to get them back
If you have used wubi, then most probably Ubuntu was installed inside a large file residing in Windows (a disk image), and this file is gone as well. You can still try TestDisk, but your chances are very slim.
You are talking a lot of unclear items...
- There is no C: drive in Ubuntu.
- Your project - was it stored in Ubuntu native partition, or Windows partition accessible from Ubuntu?
And most important - if you want to be able to recover these files, STOP USING THAT COMPUTER!!!

I am using an ssd 120 gb to boot. I installed both windows 7 and ubuntu and then i uninstalled ubuntu.
The project was storred at ubuntu desktop and i dont think it is accesible directly from windows.
By C: drive i meant that the c drive exist inside windows and not in ubuntu
How you ununstalled Ubuntu - did you just delete partition, or created new one, formatted etc?
There are couple of utilities which could help you. Download a live LinuxCD (Knoppix would be a good choice), and run TestDisk.
