I'm just curious if this is even a plausible solution for cooling my laptop and preventing the CPU from overheating. Not that it's overheating yet, but I came across this link on Amazon and thought that it wasn't a bad idea, in theory that is.

If the laptop is overheating an extra cooling im sure would help if your not overheating its worthless though.

Yeah, I guess I'll just have to see if my laptop starts overheating once I test some newer games on there. In the case that it does start overheating I will test this out and then let everyone know if it was worth the money or not.

Completely depends on the layout of the laptop.

If the CD drive bay is almost completely enclosed, or if it is no where near the CPU, then this is going to make a bigger impact to your wallet then it every will to your temps.
