Power button on front of PC

when I plug my DX4300-04h in all the fans start running but the power button will not work or light up is it the switch or is it the motherboard.

If that's one of the original Windows Vista models, it's quite old now so it may be the motherboard. You can eliminate the power button from the suspects list by removing the cable from the board and shorting the pins carefully with a small scerwwdriver or similar.
