My current system is as follows.
Asus m5a97 r2.0
FX 6300
8gb 1600mhz
HD 7770 Vapor-x
Corsair HX520w
Usual SSD's etc...

I'm using a very old 19" HANNS-G monitor at 1440x900 and it's getting as dull as dishwater due to age.
I'm getting a BENQ GL2450HM to run at 1080p and don't know if my GPU will be good enough.
The girlfriend said she'd buy me a new GPU for christmas (budget €200 or less), so I'm wondering which I should choose?

There are so many options and reviews that contradict each other.

THere are two options under $200 mark:

1. AMD R9 380 4GB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... $184

2. GTX 960 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... $184

This is the best GPU price-performance for your given budget that I can find (at 199 euros in Germany):

GIGABYTE Radeon R9 280 OC Version 3072MB GDDR5 384

Works very well in 1080p resolution/gaming. Comparable with the GTX 960, but definitely better (with 3GB and higher bus). For GPU-hungry games (like Metro, etc.) you might have to reduce a tad bit of the in-game settings. But for most games, it will max. out.

However, you might need to upgrade you PSU with this upgrade. A good 550W or 600W would do with enough headroom for overclocking (if you do overclock).
