I recently bought http://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-desktop-amd-a10-series-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-gray/6968138.p?id=1219667166556&skuId=6968138

the idle temp is 50-54c and gaming sticks around 85c-90c these temperatures are high right?
my motherboard temp is 51c and gpu is the same temp while gaming. hardrive temp is 41c while gaming.
the cpu fan starting buzzing really loud and then would stop completely about a weak after purchase, thankfully I had another fan sitting around and put in. i am still getting the same cpu temps. I pulled the power supply and gpu from my old computer that was running at lower temps. besides adding those 2 components everything else is completely stock.

I am thinking it is the heatsink. the BIG question is will http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 this fit in my case. i have searched over and over and can not find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The problem here, brianjohnm, is that we cannot recommend some of the better CPU coolers without first knowing the maximum height of the sink that the case will allow.

Regardless, what can severely affect your processors temperature is:

1. The ambient temperature (i.e. the temperature in the room) is very high (but you would have to check), so any air being used to 'cool' the stock heat sink isn't doing much.
2. The air-flow in the case itself could be pretty bad, so any hot air inside isn't getting removed and any cool air outside isn't getting sucked in, so you will need to have a look at installing more case fans to help with that, which will directly affect the temps your APU reaches.

If you can get a rough measurement of the amount of space between the CPU and the case side-panel (basically the space available for the new cooler) we could probably help more.

Off-hand one of the best value coolers I've used, mentioned also by GhislainG, is the H7. That and the Hyper 212X by CoolerMaster.
