I am a PC gamer, I need some honest advice,

Currently I have 2 GTX 780 in SLI liquid cooled, now I am confused about should upgrade to a Single GTX 980 Ti which is costing USD765/-, or Single Titan X which is USD1070/-,

My computer dealer is recommending me to go for Titan X, as per him it would be good in the long run. I dont think there are any games in the market that would exceed 6GB capacity or GTX980ti.

Is it worth to upgrade from GTX780 SLI to GTX980 Ti or to Titan X, as titan X is almost USD300 more.

I don't think you should even upgrade right now
The GTX780 SLI is a beast, and it could run the games to the latest settings for more than 2-3 years from now
So why would tou waste your money?
If it's not broken, don't fix it
If you really want to upgrade, 980Ti is better for gaming only...the Titan Z is only usable when you are a 3D artist or running games at 4k on 4 monitors

You computer dealer just wants your money you dont need a Titan X because it's in 80% of all cases "only" as fast as a 980ti and in some rare cases maybe 2fps better. For gaming only you want the 980ti. And you also wont need 6gb of VRAM in ANY game. I dont even need 3 @1440p but people still want like 8gb VRAM @1080p for whatever reason lol.

Here is a comparisson of a SINGLE 780 vs a 980ti:

In any modern game you can probably add 85-95% improvement with SLI.

SLI 780 and 980ti should be equally fast. I'd wait for the next generation if you want to upgrade your GPU. :)

I'd recommend going with GTX 980 Ti because, as you already mentioned, there are not many games that would require more than 6 Gb of VRAM (or even 4 Gb for that matter) unless you're gaming at 4k, which I doubt you are. And by the time when you do need more than 6 Gb of VRAM even Titan X will probably have become obsolete and dominated by the next-gen cards. In addition, you can overclock the GTX 980 Ti considerably higher than the Titan X thus making it even better, not to mention cheaper as well.

Just don't upgrade now, it's not worth it...wait for the next gen of Nvidia GPU's, don't throw money out of window for something you don't need, because the 780SLI is equally or slightly better than the 980Ti

10-25% improvement. I dont like 980s. They are too expensive for what they are even if they are 50% off i'd still wait for the next generation. Either single 980ti and a second one in the future or wait for the next generation.

I recommend waiting.

Careful dude, because just the waterblocks will be 100-150 USD each, so I will second what many others said: wait for the pascal architecture come out at about september next year, buy two of them for about 600 USD each, and run every game at max fps for years. I would not recomend upgrading now because your rig is already a beast, so unless you want gaming on multiple 4k monitors, stay with what you have. By the way, how.much for the 980s because I moght take him up on one of them.
