Well, to make a long story short. I have been trying to my fix temps. I basically got new pieces for everything. It all started playing ARK survival Evolved. I was playing and my screen shut off but my comp looked like it was still going. I reset and it was OK, i looked and figured it my was my GPU that over heated, So after getting some advice online, i decided to replace the PSU and the GPU. I start Ark Survival Evolved again and i notice my CPU temps are a tad high. Running at 65c, no over clock. That was w/ a i7 3820 LGA 2011 CPU. I figure since it was running 28-30c on idle the CPU was going bad. I did have it for over three years of 24/7 use. So i decide to get a new mobo and a new i7 4820k CPU thinking it will solve my issue. Well, once the temps are fine at idle and when i run Ark Survival for 30 min, the CPU hits 60c. I got discouraged and shut it off. Are those temps normal? Non over clocking. I even used good grease I C diamond.
I changed from i7 3820 to a i7 4820k
Asus hd 7970 to a Asus GTX 970
Asus p9x79 pro to MSI X79A-GD65 (8D)
Cougar CMX 1000w to Corsair RM 850
Same SSD, SSHD, HDD, CPU cooler (NZXT kraken x40) I had bought two of the CPU coolers because they were on sale on newegg. I used the second one about 4 months ago. My next area is to replace the CPU cooler.
TL;DR
My temps are 28-30c idle and 62c gaming. Changed CPU's, mobos, PSU, RAM and GPU. Are those temps OK? Do i need a new CPU cooler? or am i crazy? i have 8 fans in my case, all high quality in a push pull config (thanks Linus).
