I rooted my tab s 8.4 just now using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/root-cf-autoroot-t700-t2805366

I finished the root without problems. I am supposed to open SuperSU which was installed during the root. When I open it up, it says it needs an update. Then it says this: SUPERSU If you have a custom revoery like TWRP or CWM, that can be used try to install the SU binar. This recommended for HTC devices. How would you like to install the SU Binary?

NORMAL - TWRP/CWM

Normal just says failed please reboot.
TWRP/CWM enters recovery mode. What do I do? I need help ASAP. Thank you.

This isn't very helpful I know, but as much as I get jail-breaking an Iphone/Ipad (it being such a horrible closed OS with majorly limited functionality) I've never really gotten rooting an Android device. I have tried it recently on my S5 and had it running for weeks. Found it problematic from the off, with various issues. Only had it working correctly when it was Samsung Stock rom. For me there's not much reason to root. Being able to OC your CPU a few mhz and having access to an already really open OS doesn't appeal to me for the trade off in glitches and problems.

To recover phone, you will most likely need to download a stock rom of your android version. You can do this on the Samsung website you can get them here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares use 4.4.4/5.0.1 or whatever. Download and use Odin to reinstall the stock rom, and bring your tab back to life. You will need to put your device in recovery mode, but you can find very simple guides like that online.

Good luck.

OK I guess I. Don't honestly understand. My tablet works just I don't want to do much in it cause SuperSU doesn't cooperate with me. If you go on that link you will see what I did. I did not do any thing additional. Except make a complete backup of my tablet on my pc before rooting.w what is exactly twrp\cwm all I know is that I can't find a compatible version for my tab s 8.4.

Don't worry bro, we will fix this.
Just answer these questions please:
1- what is the current state of your tablet?
Does it even turn on? or does it say all that warning and stuff inside the recovery?
2- Is there any picture of an android robot on the screen?

You were too late. I had to factory reset it after draining the battery and trying to reboot several times. I do honesty appreciate all of the help you have me. I don't think I will get to root which is disappointing.

Thanks for you guys help. I am not a normally ignorant with this type of thing. I really don't want to have to factory reset my tablet in case something goes wrong again. SuperSu just woundt let me install the binaries. I need a proven to work version for tab s 8.4. Thanks for the help. ☺

Why couldn't I find that. I am really stupid. It even says fixed supersu binaries with included twrp. I am speechless. Would you try it? I literally JUST got done reinstalling and re setting up my apps.

I think you should.
It's supposed to leave ur apps and everything intact.
Just make sure everything is alright. Make sure you downloaded ODIN from the link I gave u earlier, and right click > run it as admin.
Also disable any antivirus u have temporarily, just till u finish flashing the thing

I meant if something went wrong (like last time) I would have to system restore. I don't have antimalware. Just windows firewall\defender. Should I temporarily disable them?

It's better to disable windows defender and/or microsoft security essentials. Windows firewall has nothing to do with it.
As for the android version... open ur tablet > settings > about > look for "Android version".
It should say 4.XX or 5.XX, doesn't matter. The last link I gave u works for both :)
