I have abit of ocd with keeping my pc "clean" I've factory reset it about 3 times in 2 weeks now and I know resetting it doesn't fully delete old files it says it just encrypts them so it makes it harder for you to get the reset files back I was just wondering if I keep reseting my pc will the older encrypted files eventually start to slow down my pc because of hidden storage space? I always disk clean and get rid of the "old windows installation" thing and then defrag then install updates then repeeat that...? I just reset it again today using a different monitor in a new house and as I clicked reset screen went black and monitor wouldn't come to pc reset screen ( my laptop wouldn't work either but sky box does) so I turned my pc off thinking I've probably fucked that up

Solution
resetting is not the way to keep your pc clean.use disk clean and defrag but stop resetting.if you want to be anal about it there is a program called privazer that ive used with good results.
