My Build:
CPU - Intel i5-4460
Graphics - MSI GTX 950 2gb Gaming
Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-H97M-HD3 Micro ATX
RAM - Kingston Hyperx Blu 2x4gb 1333 DDR3 (8gb ram total)
PSU - CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE
All stock speeds. Not even using the MSI gaming app, just afterburner with no modifications.
This could perhaps just be that I misunderstand how Graphics Cards work, but I'm having one small issue with my performance.
All my games run fine, playable fps and all, but I'm finding that with the few games I've tried my system on I am not reaching 100% GPU usage. For instance, when playing Dirty Bomb I get between 50 and 90 fps, though my GPU never reaches 100% usage or 100% power.
My first instinct is that this is my CPU or RAM causing a bottleneck, but neither seems to be the case. When only running Dirty Bomb my CPU never reaches 100% capacity, and only about half my RAM is being used. I then guessed it was a PSU issue, but PCpartpicker says I only need about 285w to run this.
The 50-90 that I'm getting at max is perfectly fine, but shouldn't my GPU be running at full capacity so I get even better fps? Perhaps Dirty Bomb is just poorly optimized?
