Colored text on windows 8 start is back menu

When i open up the start menu on windows 8 (i have start is back menu thing)i try to search a program then it shows the text green and blue i can't see what it says. My idiot friend recently came and messed with my computer

The best thing to do is uninstall that useless program and you'll be able to read the items properly. The regular start screen prevents you from changing colors in such a way that they would cause readability issues.

If you insist on using that program, there is a full manual on the project site.
