So I just finished getting my new computer built and set up and getting ready to install my old HDD via SATA and was wondering if it needed to have its own OS or not. I was mainly going to transfer important stuff to the new HDD and use it (old HDD) for extra game storage.
Edit: Should note I haven't messed with SATA much. Only real exp. I have is with the old master/slave cables.
