Yes it works. It doesn't matter if the graphics card is different RAM to your motherboard. As for drivers, 1st remove any old drivers before putting the new card in. Once the card is in and you've booted up your computer, either use the drivers that come on disk with your card, or visit your cards manufacture's website and download and install.
