I bought a Toshiba satellite c55d b5310 laptop. The problem is that it has only 4gb of ram and has two slots wherein one of them is used. Im running windows 10 64bit. My question is that ,can I remove the company installed ram and put two ram chips of the same speed, latency, voltage, in both the slots different to the one that was already installed?
The ram my laptop came with is SAMSUNG 4GB ,1600mhz ,ddr3l ,
,1.35v ,cl 11 ,12800
And finally the one I'm looking to install is a gskill ripjaws 8gb p3cl dd3 ,12800 CAS 9. (Note) latency differs. So I'm looking to put two of these that's 8gbx2. Max ram supported by my laptop is 16gb. Also, say if the given ram in my laptop is a 204 pin sodimm Samsung can I remove that and put aa another ram of a different pin? Say a 200pin sodimm?? I checked CPUz and crucial and according to me its 204 pin as far as I remember.
