Currently running 16gb of patriot extreme ddr4 2400mhz in a 2x8gb config with timings of 15-15-15-36. Looking to go up to 32gb. Should I buy another kit of the same stuff? Or a 32gb kit of corsair lpx 2400mhz. It has a timing of 14-16-16-36. This is going on an asus x99-a motherboard. Any help would be great thanks.

Edit: Sorry, misread your post. I thought you were going to add either more of the same or more of a different brand/timing. For best chance of success you'd probably be better off selling your old stuff and going with a 32gb kit (hopefully 4x 8gb sticks to take advantage of the quad channel memory).
