I'm getting the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H motherboard for my new build and I was wondering if this cpu fan will fit without blocking my memory slots. I am using Corsair Vengeance LP for my ram. Also will this fan fit my case, I'm getting the Corsair Vengeance C70 case? Thanks!

Solution
It will fit the motherboard, I have a 212 evo on the same exact motherboard with a 4690k. According to corsair the case will support coolers up to 170mm in height and that cooler is 159mm tall. Using the LP (low profile) ram is a good choice with the 212 evo, especially if the ram will be in the first dimm slot closest to the cpu. Being an older cooler design paired with newer hardware, it mostly fits. Newer designs like the cryorig h7 cooler use offset heat pipes to avoid any ram clearance issues at all.

I used team dark ram which is low profile in the first dimm slot and it fits under the fan. It's just a matter of wiggling the fan into place, you have to remove it from the cooler to tighten the two mounting screws closest to the...
Since all Z97 CPU's use the exact same size CPU and memory, and the exact same spacing between the CPU and the first 16x PCIe slot, Yes, I think it will work just like it has for most of us. If that memory has high fins, get low fin memory. I have 2667 memory with fins so low you cannot even see them unless you get right down next to them, so you don't need the big ugly fins at all.

The one thing that gets most people who have narrow cases is that the cooler fits the motherboard, but when you install the motherboard, the cooler block is too tall to put the side cover on. So make sure you have more than enough room for that cooler block.

Make sure the ram is installed first, then mount the fan back to the cooler with the clips.

Some coolers create an issue with the pcie x16 slot on micro atx boards where the slot is mounted up higher to the cpu socket. That's not the case with the ud5h, it has an m.2 slot and a pci x1 slot between the cpu socket and first x16 pcie slot so plenty of room between the cooler and gpu.
