Bought for Xmas present been told its overkill in wrong places can anyone advise on what I can add, or change. to make into decent pc and sort the overkill out. You could write on a stamp what I know about gaming pc's Intel i7 4770k 3.5 ghz asus motherboard z971 16gb corsair vengeance 2800, Kingston 240gb ssd EVGA nvidia gtx660, EVGA supernova 1000w psu, cpu corsair h100i water-cooler. Thanks

It will be a decent gaming machine at best. I'm assuming it's a prebuilt? You would have been better off building your own. It's overkill in all the wrong areas and has an old mediocre video card.

The SSD and GPU are meh, while everything else is absolutely overkill.
It's a decent gaming PC, but you would have spent your money MUCH better by building it yourself, buying the single components.
