I will need to upgrade my recently acquired PC's RAM from 2GB to 8 GB (the maximum) in the 4 DIMM slots. Is it better to use 2 X 4GB or 4 X 2 GB? I am inclined to use the 2 X GB 4 configuration, but wondered if it is necessary to obtain maximum supported memory by filling all slots, since 8 GB is the most memory allowed for this computer?

My PC is a Lenovo Think Centre M58P Core 2 Duo vPro 8400 3.0GHz 2 GB RAM 500GB HDD Win 7 Pro. It currently has (2 X 1 GB) cards. Thank you.
