first time connect

I've just got a Epson XP-200 printer and with a CD install process, get to 'Printer Set up' and keep getting the red/green flashing lights then just the red one, the printer won't connect in time

I would suggest reading the manual, it has fairly good setup instructions for both network and direct setup, as well as troubleshooting (in the back)

Page 136-140 of your manual explains exactly what that error is. You did not specify HOW you were connecting the printer, now we know you were trying to set up the WiFi for it. https://files.support.epson.com/htmldocs/xp200_/xp200_ug/

You should try manually setting up the wireless connection using WPS http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?UseCookie=yes&infoType=FAQ&oid=201984&prodoid=63094160&foid=219946

I've looked at he videos and read the manual ... the video shows you how to connect by Wi Fi using a temporary USB cable, but on my CD instructions it doesn't give this option... I'm using W7
