Did you make any changes (hardware/software) before the problem started?
Did you reinstall windows and drivers after installing the new hdd?

Since you already changed the psu, and provided you installed all the right drivers for your hardware, it is most likely the motherboard about to fail.

It could also be overheating but that is unlikely unless you attempted to reseat the cpu hsf or made other major changes to the hardware.

i think the ICH7 chip is overheating, what can i do. it dont have a heatsink?

The Intel core2duo e7500 has a heatsink, right? Why do you think it is the Intel controller hub? That sounds unlikely to me, unless the cpu is also overheating.

the cpu has a heatsink but their is a chip in the motherboard called ICH7 which is overheating i think after i updated the motherboard firmware.

I think that is unlikely unless the CPU is also overheating. Has anyone else seen this?
