Guys from the last few weeks my computer keeps shutting down and restarts automatically i cleaned the processor and heat sink but still the problem occured today i went to my computer guy he said that the heat sink is a little lose and i will apply thermal paste on the processor and before that my cpu temp was 80 to 95 then shut down but when i bring back my computer from the shop my CPU temp is 40 to 50 but its again shutting down what should i do Need help computer specs
Intel core i3 2100
4gb ram
DH61WW mobo
Corsair vs 550w PSU
Plz help =(

Solution
Do you have access to another PSU? The VS is the same manufacturer as the notorious CX series. Its very possible the PSU is not providing enough power which is causing your issue. When that happens the computer will reboot.

I'm sure they would just send you a new one. PSU's are not consumer serviceable so there is no way to fix it yourself.

I'm sorry I'm confused by what you are saying. The Corsair VS PSU makes it restart hourly or faster, but the new PSU (replacement corsair?) it takes longer?

Yes The Corsair PSU makes computer to restart very frequently and when i used the spare PSU (old one) it has shutdown only 2 3 times

Actually i had this infinity PSU from the day i bought this computer and after a year i bought a GPU nvidia gtx 650 1gb so after a week it got burned :( so 3 months ago i was going to buy MSI nvidia gtx 750 ti but i needed to replace my Infinity PSU first so i bought Cosair Vs 550 it ran perfectly for 4 months but now it makes my computer shut down frequently so and yeah one more thing when this shutdown thing started a transformer near our house exploded and we were suffering from extreme fluctuation when the voltage gets really low it shutsdown and one more thing my computer has not shut down from 2 days is it because i am running it on 1000w stabilizer =) =)
And the fluctuation thing has stopped

So that explains your problems. Yes fluctuations will cause shutdowns. So I think we have solved your problem.

Exchange or return that Corsair and get yourself a new PSU.
