I am looking forward to buy a cooler, but really confused which one to buy; an air cooler or a liquid cooler. I saw some review over youtube and found liquid coolers get damaged easily and are prone to liquid leaking. I can get only Cooler Master and Corsair in my local market. Can you please suggest which one will be better in terms of performance and durability.

1. COOLER MASTER CPU AIR COOLER HYPER 212X
2. CORSAIR CPU LIQUID COOLER H80i GT

Your help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

definitely a valid point. It's a risk that you have to be willing to take. You have the weigh up the pros and cons of the situation. Corsair are known to replace any components that their coolers have damaged...

The h80i is better at cooling but to be honest, there isnt much of a difference. The CM hyper 212x does have a better performance/price ratio. I would say go for the h100i, it's a tad more expensive but better than the CM

Thank you for your reply, but recently I was doing google and found that h100i more prone to liquid leaking. It is also saying that this leaking can damage the product as well as other components. You have anything to say on this?
Once again thank you and your solution is very much useful for me.

definitely a valid point. It's a risk that you have to be willing to take. You have the weigh up the pros and cons of the situation. Corsair are known to replace any components that their coolers have damaged provided you show them evidence of damage and as long as you are within the warranty period. Leaks do happen and in the end its a choice that you're going to have make. That being said, if you arent willing to take the risk, there are always some good air cooling heatsinks out there.
