So you have something like this: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/dominator-platinum-series-64gb-8-x-8gb-ddr4-dram-2400mhz-c14-memory-kit-cmd64gx4m8a2400c14 which is from Corsair. Corsair seems like a pretty trusty brand, I already have a case and some RAM from them and they're great. I'm looking for some new RAM. That link brings you to a 64GB kit (doing lots of rendering) with C14 latency and 2400MHz. Pretty sweet. But then I stumbled across this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820242074 , which if you were to buy two of to make it 64GB, it would still cost less than Corsair. It also has the same MHz, and C12 latency. Why so cheap? Is it just brand stuffs of is HyperX not reliable or???

I need an answer within an hour or I will be late on a build I have to ship soon.

If the specs are the same, then what could the price difference be? the corsair has a fancy schmancy heatsink/light tube.
it's your money dude, do you need the pc to be pretty or do you need it to work? Hyperx is the high end line of Kingston. Kingston will be cheaper due to the high manufacturing yields kingston produces vs corsair, if they even fab thier own chips.

Kingston is good RAM. Corsair is good RAM. Do you want to pay for decorations?

64 GB kit has been tested to play nice with each other. Buying the other ram consists of 4 x 8 GB sticks = 32 GB. Unless your MB has 8 slots you can not do that (8 x 8 GB sticks = 64 GB). If you do go this route the sticks have not been fully tested to play nice together. Probably will. Maybe not. Your call

Thanks man. They're gonna be cooled with an EK block so looks didn't matter at all. I went with the Kingstons. I'll tell you how it goes!

Also swapped out the Samsung 850s in my build with the HyperX Savage. After seeing their specs I found out they were actually somewhat faster! Thanks again man!
