Hello, I bought an 80mtrs Cat6 outdoor use cable (think its called shielded and its black in color) and connected it to the host router (the one supplying the internet) to my router which is located in home yesterday , it was fine then it started stuttering today till it got cutoff completely no transmissionn whatsoever, I called the repairer to come and check the problem he said that the wire crossed a path where there is high levels of EMI and i need to look for another route to do the wiring , there is another way but that would require me to add some more meters and thats fine by me am just asking if the same wire that stopped transmitting data will it work again ? Its expensive and I wouldnt like to buy a whole set of wires again (say 120meters) as it would cost me alot . just wanted to know that . I looked for this question but I didnt find an answer thats why am askng here .. Thankyou

Remember Star Trek 5 where "Bones" treated his patients with a scanner, and chided 20th century barbaric invasive medicine? EMI is non-invasive, once removed, as if nothing ever happened, to the cable.
