hello,

I have a problem with my PNY gtx 960 and I believe it's overheating since I see it reaches 60 degrees celsius then freezes my game, even when the fan is turned on to the max. Can this be because my card is in a rather tight space in my case? I have a lenovo h50-50 pc and I upgraded my psu to 450 watts and gpu to the 960. The card looks rather crammed in there, but can that really affect my performance? I have another pc that I built myself but it has no case as well as the cpu is weak on that one (the caseless pc)

I'm thinking of trying the card on there.. should I?

Thanks in advance and if you need more details I'll gladly provide more

Should I just take it to the store?

What software are you using that is showing your 960 temps at 60c?

If it is accurate then 60c is WELL within safe ranges, You are FAR below the max stable temps man.

What is your cpu temps?

I just did a stress test on my other PC and it did not shut down and the temp managed around 80-60 C. I remember now playing a game on my tower and the temp went up to 90C with the fan on max then 98 C and it froze. I think it's my tower that's the problem and lack of space for the card does that sound right?
