Will a amd FX 9370 work with a M5A97 evo r2.0?

I have a M4A97 evo r2.0 asus motherboard and a amd FX 9370 how ever some people have told me these wont work as the 9370 has a 200wwat power draw and this mobo cant handle that much power, dose anyone know 100% if these will work together? I don't plan on putting a lot of load on this build its just for gaming and I will be water cooling.

I had that board and couldn't even overclock my 8320 past 4.3 without the board getting too hot from power. That's with water cooling and the CPU was cool but the board couldn't take it.

That and it's not listed on the CPU support list.
