hello guys
I recently installed a 4Gb ram in my computer. I have 2 sticks of 2GB and 1x4GB. They are not identical differnet brands. Everything works good but some times when I play a game the computer freezes the screen goes black and the speaker make a weird noise similar to "brrrr" . I have to reset the computer in order for it to operate again.

once it popped a message : Display driver stopped responding and has recovered.

My computer :
i7 920
m7522 motherboard
gtx 650 nVidia gpu
corsair 650 watt psu.
Ram already mentioned.

thank you in advance

Solution
Since this started after more ram was installed please Download Memtest 86+ and put it on a flash drive OR CD/DVD disk and run it as the boot drive. Run for at least 5 passes. This test will run automatically and has its own UI so no Operating system needed. If the ram errors it will tell you in red and you will need to figure out what is the issue, either the sticks are not compatible or a setting wrong. Many times different sticks wont work together with out issues so just be prepared.

If the ram tests good then try uninstalling the GPU driver and related Nvidia programs for it and do a clean install of the drivers. If you Overclocked teh GPU try removing the OC and see if the issue remains. Sometimes when an OC is to high/unstable...
